What you get in WordPress
Every embed your ShowHub theme draws is its own block in WordPress, and an option in one ShowHub element in each page builder:
- All episodes: the full player, in your theme's layout.
- Recent 3 Episodes: the newest episode featured, with two more.
- Premiere Countdown: your next premiere with a countdown (Pro and Business plans).
- Sticky Player: a corner player that follows visitors as they scroll.
- Episode Spotlight: one episode, or always the newest one.
- Follow Strip: listen-on buttons for every platform link in your branding (Pro themes and up).
- Playlist Player: one player with an up-next queue (Pro themes and up).
- Search & Browse: a search box and topic filters over your whole archive (Business+ themes).
- Guest Roster: the people who've been on the show, each linking to their episode (Business+ themes).
- Quote Cards: pull quotes that play the episode from the moment they were said (Business+ themes).
They all draw in the theme you picked in ShowHub, so your WordPress page and your ShowHub episode pages look like the same show.
Adding them in your editor
Your WordPress editor
Click +, scroll to the category named after your theme (for example ShowHub · Margin theme) or search for "ShowHub", and add a block. Its settings are in the sidebar. Kadence, Spectra, GenerateBlocks and full-site-editing themes use the same blocks.
Search the widget panel for ShowHub Theme Embed, drag it onto the page and pick the embed. That embed's settings appear underneath. The plugin's other Elementor widgets (Full Player, Episode, Episode Grid, Premieres) are still there.
Add a module and choose ShowHub Theme Embed. Pick the embed in the module settings. The Visual Builder draws it from your site, so you see what visitors get.
Open Modules, find the ShowHub group and drag in ShowHub Theme Embed. Choosing an embed shows its settings.
Search the elements panel for ShowHub Theme Embed, add it and pick the embed in the content tab.
Click Add Element, open the ShowHub tab and add ShowHub Theme Embed.
Oxygen, Breakdance, Thrive Architect and the Classic editor can all run the shortcode. Add a shortcode element and paste:
[showhub_embed embed="guests" title="On the show"]The shortcode reference lists every embed and setting.
Change the look in one place
Your theme lives in ShowHub, not in each block. When you switch themes in the Theme studio:
- every ShowHub block and element on your WordPress site redraws in the new theme on the next page load;
- the block inserter's ShowHub category takes the new theme's name, and lists only the embeds that theme includes;
- a block the new theme doesn't include shows nothing to visitors, and tells editors which themes include it. Switch back and it returns as it was.
The plugin checks your theme when the block editor opens and on every scheduled sync, so there's nothing to refresh by hand.
Settings: saved once, changed where you need
Each embed's settings (layout, columns, how many episodes, button labels) are saved once in ShowHub. Every block starts with Saved in ShowHub for each one. Change a setting in one block's sidebar and it applies to that block only, for example a three-episode Recent block on the homepage and a six-episode one on the podcast page.
Episode pages come with it
The same plugin adds an Episodes page and a page for every episode, with its player, show notes and transcript, synced from ShowHub on a schedule. The blocks put your show into the pages you design; the episode pages give each episode its own address on your site. The WordPress player guide covers the snippet-only route if you'd rather not install a plugin.
