Getting started
What is ShowHub?
ShowHub puts your podcast, music or videos on your website, with a page for every episode, track and video, and keeps them up to date by itself. You connect where your work already lives. Already have a site? The WordPress plugin adds the pages to it, and one pasted line puts your player on Squarespace, Wix or Webflow. No site yet? We host one for you at yourname.showhubco.com. When you publish something new, a new page appears without you touching anything.
Is ShowHub free?
Yes, the Starter plan is free for good and doesn't need a card. Starter includes one source, a yourname.showhubco.com address, 3 designs, the embed player and 30 days of stats. Pro ($20 a month) and Business ($50 a month) add more when you want it.
How long does it take to set up?
Most shows are live in a few minutes. Connect your feed or channel, pick a design, and the first sync builds a page for everything you've already published. A big back catalogue can take a few minutes longer.
Do I need a website already?
No. If you have one, keep it, and if you don't, we host one for you. Have a site: on WordPress the ShowHub plugin adds an Episodes page and a page for every episode, and on Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or anything else one pasted line puts your player there. No site: your pages live at yourname.showhubco.com for free, or on your own domain with Pro. Either way there's nothing to code or lay out.
Who makes ShowHub?
ShowHub is made by Motorboat Media, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. Questions go to a person, not a bot. The address to write to is at the bottom of this page.
Where your work comes from
Where does ShowHub get my episodes, tracks and videos?
Which platforms can I connect?
YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, SoundCloud, TikTok, Instagram, or any RSS feed. Spotify and Apple Podcasts bring in a podcast through its feed. YouTube and TikTok connect your channel or account. Instagram posts and single SoundCloud tracks are added by pasting their links.
Do new episodes and videos show up on my site automatically?
Yes, ShowHub checks your sources every day and turns anything new into a page. The newest one goes to the top of your home page and into your embed player. Posts you add by link, like Instagram, go up when you paste them.
Will my old episodes and videos get pages too?
Yes, the first sync brings in everything already in your feed or channel. Episode one gets a page the same day as last week's. On YouTube that means every public video.
Do I have to re-upload anything?
No, nothing gets re-uploaded or moved. ShowHub reads the feed or channel you already publish to and plays your work from there. You keep posting exactly where you post now.
Your site and pages
What does my site look like, and what can I change?
What's on each episode, track or video page?
The player, the title, your description and the date. Links and timestamps in your description carry over. On Pro and Business the transcript is on the page too.
Can I edit a page after it's built?
Yes, you can fix titles and add or change descriptions in your dashboard. Guest links, credits or a tracklist all go in the description, and the page updates.
Can I change how my site looks?
Yes, pick a design and switch whenever you like. Starter has 3 designs and Pro has 10, plus custom CSS if you want to tweak things yourself. Business can also make a custom design for you with AI.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Every site starts on a free yourname.showhubco.com address. With Pro you point a domain you own, like podcast.yourshow.com, at your site by adding one record where you bought it, and the secure connection is set up for you.
Can I group episodes into seasons?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Seasons are picked up from your podcast feed or your YouTube playlists, and you can arrange them yourself in the dashboard. Visitors can filter your site by season.
Do pages have transcripts?
Yes, on Pro and Business. ShowHub uses the captions or transcripts you already publish where they exist and transcribes the rest. On Business every new episode is transcribed automatically.
With the site you have
Can I keep the website I already have?
I already have a website. Can I still use ShowHub?
Yes. Keep it: ShowHub works with the site you already have. On WordPress, the ShowHub plugin adds an Episodes page and a page for every episode. On Squarespace, Wix, Webflow or any site that takes HTML, paste one snippet and your latest episode, track or video plays there and changes by itself each time you publish. On Pro, your episode pages can also live on a subdomain of your site, like podcast.yoursite.com.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes, and it adds your episodes to your WordPress site as pages, not just a player. Connect it once and it makes an Episodes page, gives every episode its own page with the player, the show notes and the transcript when there is one, and keeps up as you publish. There's also a [showhub] shortcode for any post or page.
Can the player show my next premiere instead of my latest upload?
Yes, on Pro and Business. Choose latest published or next premiere in your dashboard. On Starter the player shows your latest upload.
Getting found
Will people find my work on Google and AI assistants?
Will my episodes show up on Google?
Each episode, track and video gets its own page that search engines can read, so it can show up when people search for what you talked about. Where a page ranks is up to Google, but it can only send people to pages that exist. An episode that only lives inside an app isn't one.
Can ChatGPT and other AI assistants find my show?
Yes, AI assistants can read and cite your pages the same way search engines do. A page with your description and, on paid plans, your transcript gives them real text to quote. A video inside an app gives them very little.
Do transcripts help people find me?
Yes, a transcript puts every word you said on the page as text. Someone searching for a question you answered out loud can land on the episode where you answered it. Transcripts come with Pro and Business.
How do I know if my current site is easy to find?
Run the free site check. It looks at your site and shows you what to fix, whether or not you use ShowHub.
Stats and privacy
What can I see about my audience?
What stats do I get?
Visitors, plays, listen time and where people came from, on every plan. Starter keeps 30 days of history, Pro 12 months and Business all of it. Bots and crawlers are filtered out of every number.
Plans, billing and cancelling
What does it cost, and can I stop?
Do I need a card to start?
No, you only add a card when you pick a paid plan. Connect your feed or channel and your site goes up on yourname.showhubco.com straight away.
What's the difference between Pro and Business?
Pro is for your own domain and transcripts; Business adds automatic transcripts on every page, blog post drafts from your episodes, Search Console data, AI-made designs and all-time stats. Pro is $20 a month, or $16 a month paid yearly. Business is $50 a month, or $40 a month paid yearly.
How does paying yearly work?
You pay once for the year and it works out 20% cheaper than paying monthly. Pro is $192 a year and Business is $480 a year.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time, from your billing page. A monthly plan stops when you cancel it. A yearly plan stays on until the end of the year you paid for.
What happens to my site when I upgrade?
Nothing gets rebuilt: your pages, design and stats stay where they are. The new features switch on and you carry on.
I run several shows or brands. Which plan fits?
Enterprise, which covers several shows or brands and can be white-labelled. It's priced for what you need, so write to us and we'll work it out together.
For podcasters
Questions podcasters ask
How do I make a website for my podcast?
Connect your podcast's RSS feed, Apple Podcasts or Spotify link to ShowHub and pick a design: every episode gets its own page on a site we host at yourname.showhubco.com. It's free on Starter, and it updates itself each time you publish. Already have a website? Put the pages on it with the WordPress plugin, or the player with one pasted line.
Do I have to move my podcast host?
No, your host stays your host. ShowHub reads the feed your host already publishes, so nothing moves and nothing gets re-uploaded.
Will my show notes and timestamps carry over?
Yes, whatever's in your episode description goes on the page. Links and timestamps included. You can edit any episode's description in your dashboard.
Can listeners still choose Apple Podcasts or Spotify?
Yes, people can play the episode on the page or jump to the app they use. Your stats show which platforms listeners click through to.
My podcast is on YouTube too. Do I get two pages per episode?
No, ShowHub matches the video and the audio and makes one page. It pairs them by title, date and length, and the page gets a switch between watching and listening.
For musicians
Questions musicians and bands ask
How do I make a website for my band or my music?
Connect your YouTube channel or SoundCloud to ShowHub, pick a design, and every song gets its own page. New uploads are added by themselves, so your pages keep up with each release. It's free on Starter, and if you already have a site, the player goes on it too.
Can I connect my Spotify artist profile?
No, Spotify connects podcasts, not artist profiles. For music, connect your YouTube channel or your SoundCloud feed, and add a link to your Spotify artist page on your site.
How does SoundCloud work with ShowHub?
Use your SoundCloud feed to bring in every upload automatically, or add single tracks by pasting their links. Each track gets a page with the player, your description and links out.
Can I add links to tickets, merch or Bandcamp?
Yes, you can add your own links to your site from the dashboard. Use them for tickets, merch, Bandcamp, your Spotify artist page or a mailing list.
Can my site replace my link-in-bio page?
Yes, point your bio link at your ShowHub site. People can listen right there instead of choosing between buttons, and your newest release is always first.
For video creators
Questions YouTubers and video creators ask
How do I turn my YouTube channel into a website?
Sign in with the Google account that owns the channel, pick a design, and ShowHub makes a page for every public video. New uploads are added by themselves. It's free on Starter, and it works with a site you already have.
Can I put my TikTok and Instagram videos on my site?
Yes: connect TikTok and new videos come in on their own, and add Instagram posts by pasting their links. Each video gets a page with the player and its caption.
Do plays on my site still count as YouTube views?
Yes, plays on your site still count as views on YouTube. Your site gives people another way in, without taking anything away from your channel.
Can people search inside my videos?
Yes, on Pro and Business each video page has its transcript with a search box. Matching words light up, so people get to the moment they came for.
Why have a website if I already have a channel?
Because the site is yours: its address and its pages don't change when an algorithm does. Every video gets a page people can bookmark and search engines can find, long after the feed has moved on.
